Freshman White Game Summary

The Freshman White team was consistent in all things during the first game of the year except for holding on to the football.  They fumbled the ball 6 times in a 26-0 loss.  Pasadena scored once every quarter by taking advantage of excellent field position.

Offensively, the Rangers began moving the ball but the fumbles continually ended each drive.

Defensively, the Rangers often stopped Memorial.  Memorial eventually took advantage of a tired Ranger defense and scored once every quarter to put the game out of reach.

It was a rough first game, but definitely a learning experience.  The White team will be extremely motivated for the next game on the schedule against Austin.

Thursday, Sept 3: The Freshman Blue team lost 18-30.

The Freshman Blue team opened the season Thursday night at Pasadena.  The Rangers were defeated by the Mavs 30-18.  At times through out the game the Rangers looked sharp on both sides of the ball.  Touchdowns were scored by Trevor Moore and Jim Nork.  The Rangers look to improve this up coming week as the take on the Austin Bulldogs at Kempner Stadium.
