Thursday, Sept 3:
The JV Blue team lost 18-6.
The Clements JV blue team
received the opening kickoff and engineered a 9 minute drive that
unfortunately was stopped on a fourth down attempt in Pasadena Memorial
territory. The offensive line did a great job and Michael Cairnes and
Umair Karowadia did a great job of running hard with the football. Mike
Seitz even got in on the action with a 5 yard quarterback sneak for a 1st
down. After giving up a couple of first downs to the Memorial offense,
Scott Clark scooped up a fumble and raced about 40 yards untouched to the
endzone to give the Rangers an early 6-0 lead. A blocked punt and a fumble
led to Pasadena Memorial’s next 2 scores leaving the Rangers trailing 12-6
at halftime. Memorial tacked on another touchdown in the 2nd
half making the final score 18-6. The Rangers have been plagued by
injuries early this season so hats off to the guys that never seemed to come
off the field and battled hard all night under tough conditions.
Expect the Rangers to be much improved and ready to start district next week
against
Freshman
Thursday, Sept 3: The Freshman White team lost 0-26.
Clements White vs Pasadena Memorial
The Clements White team was shut out 26-0 in the first game of the season vs Pasadena Memorial.
First quarter score was 6-0
Second Quarter 14-0
Third Quarter Score 20-0
Fourth Quarter Score 26-0
Freshman White Game Summary
The Freshman White team was consistent in all things
during the first game of the year except for holding on to the football.
They fumbled the ball 6 times in a 26-0 loss.
Offensively, the Rangers began moving the ball but the fumbles continually ended each drive.
Defensively, the Rangers often stopped Memorial. Memorial eventually took advantage of a tired Ranger defense and scored once every quarter to put the game out of reach.
It was a rough first game, but definitely a learning
experience. The White team will
be extremely motivated for the next game on the schedule against
